On the morning of April 20, The deputy secretary of the party committee and the President of our college Dai Haidong, the member of the Party Committee and the director of the United Front Work Department Zheng Qingzhu, led a team to Hangzhou to attend the '2023 China (Zhejiang) -- Lancang-Mekong Regional Cooperation and Development Forum' hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. 'China (Zhejiang) - Lancang-Mekong Entrepreneurship Education Alliance' was established at the meeting, more than ten units from six Lancang-Mekong countries were the first members of the alliance. Dai Haidong, as one of the five initiating further educational institutes representatives in China, along with the other four representatives, all signed alliance agreements with universities from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries.

The 2023 China (Zhejiang) -- Lancang-Mekong Regional Cooperation and Development Forum, with the theme of 'Building a Common Prosperity along Lancang-Mekong River and making a cooperative effort on poverty alleviation', aims to share such a practical case as a demonstration zone of Zhejiang's high-quality development and construction of common prosperity , and expand exchanges and cooperation between Zhejiang and Mekong countries. The Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province Zhang Jiasheng, the counsellor of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zuo Wenxing, the ambassador of China to Thailand Han Zhiqiang and other leaders, together with the representatives of our sister cities in five Southeast Asian countries attended the forum and delivered speeches. Officials from Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Provincial Department of Commerce, Provincial Department of Education, Provincial Health Commission and provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Representatives of relevant counties (cities, districts), further educational institutes and enterprises participated in the forum. The meeting was presided over by the deputy director of the provincial Foreign Affairs Office Chen Jiangfeng.

At the meeting, Wenzhou University of Technology, as the leading unit, allied with Guangxi Minzu University, Zhejiang Shuren University, zhejiang yuying college of vocational technology, Zhejiang college of Security Technolog, as well as 11 institutions and enterprises in Lancang-Mekong countries such as Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, initiated the establishment of 'China (Zhejiang) - Lancang-Mekong Entrepreneurship Education Alliance'. With the aim of contributing to common prosperity and development of Lancang-Mekong countries, the proposed alliance will carry out in-depth cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship education, academic exchanges, entrepreneurship and employment of young people, making new contributions to the building of a Lancang-Mekong community with a shared future.

Today Joining the Lancang-Mekong Plan means that our college has once again opened a new field of vocational education cooperation in Southeast Asia after the establishment of China-Pakistan Silk Road College, and broaden our horizons in internationalization of innovation and entrepreneurship education of our college.

In recent years, our institute embraces the unique characteristic as 'security', we forge ahead an  innovation and entrepreneurship education model with integration of 'major + entrepreneurship' to help students grow in practice. Our institute has established a major oriented innovation and entrepreneurship curriculum system, added entrepreneurship courses based on majors, and opened online courses such as MOOCs and other type of online classes. Take advantage of various social resources and establish 'Huating Mass Innovation Space', forming a couple of cross-major teams of 'professional mentors + ideal young people with entrepreneurial spirit' to carry out entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, training and competition are encouraged to be integrated in order to achieve the purpose of promoting teaching, learning and innovation. In the past three years, our institute has successively been rated as the Demonstration Base of Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Zhejiang Province, the provincial level of Mass Innovation Space in Zhejiang, and the demonstration base of entrepreneurship incubation in Zhejiang, and has successfully incubated 37 student business startups. The personnel training program from our institute called Innovation Mechanism, Focusing on 'Intelligence Security' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Cultivation, has been selected as the typical case of innovation and entrepreneurship education in national further educational institutes in 2020. It has won more than 70 awards in various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, typical case of freshly minted entrepreneurs spring up such as Mou Jiakui, Sheng Fengyuan and Chen Kan.
