On the morning of December 20th, Zhejiang College of Security Technology held the launch ceremony for the construction of the "China Kazakhstan Silk Road College". Zhu Jun, member of the Party Committee and Chief Economist of the Provincial Department of Commerce, Li Qingrong, Second level Inspector, Yu Ruifeng, Director of the Bureau of Foreign Economic and Trade Cooperation, Peng Weibin, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZJCST, and well-known entrepreneurs from both inside and outside the province attended the event.

Zhu Jun stated that the construction of a high-level open and strong province of Zhejiang cannot be separated from the support of international talents. Building a "Silk Road College" and strengthening cooperation between government, industry, academia, and domestic and overseas countries are of great significance for enterprises to "go global". He pointed out that Zhejiang College of Security Technology has multiple distinctive and high-quality majors and programmes. While leveraging its advantages in programme construction and talent cultivation, the college can integrate abundant Wenzhou business resources, integrate the good cooperation and exchange achievements established with Kazakhstan, and inject strong energy into the construction of the "Silk Road College". The Provincial Department of Commerce will collaborate with the Provincial Department of Education to provide comprehensive support for the construction of the "Silk Road College" at Zhejiang College of Security Technology.

Peng Weibin emphasized that creating distinctive vocational education brands and promoting the internationalization of vocational education is an important strategy for promoting high-quality development of vocational education in China, and it is also an inevitable trend under the background of economic globalization. Our college will take the construction of the "Silk Road College" in Kazakhstan as an opportunity to comprehensively promote the organic integration of majors, disciplines, projects, and external ecology from skills training, talent cultivation, country research, policy consultation, and educational and cultural exchanges. We are committed to telling the stories of "China", "Zhejiang", and "Wenzhou" well. Our college will also continue to deepen cooperation between government, academia, and enterprises, actively participate in and assist in the construction of the China Kazakhstan (Wenzhou) Overseas Economic and Trade Industrial Park, and serve Chinese funded enterprises in Zhejiang to "go global". We aim to cultivate high skilled applied talents who understand Mandarin, culture, and technology for employers and industries, and use the power of talent to support the long-term development of industries.

After the launch ceremony, a "Assisting Enterprises in Going Global" technical training demand matching meeting was also held. Leaders from companies such as Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd., Wenzhou Xuzhan Investment Co., Ltd., Uzbekistan Pengsheng Industrial Park, Shanghai Dewu Information Group Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Yushi Technology Co., Ltd. made exchange speeches on topics such as the internationalization plan of the college, specific talent training needs for overseas expansion of enterprises, and strategic planning for future school enterprise cooperation.

The construction of "China Kazakhstan Silk Road College" of Zhejiang College of Security Technology is not only an important practice for our college to actively integrate into and implement the national "Belt and Road" strategic deployment, but also a key measure for vocational education to strive to write answers to the "No. 1 Open Project" in Zhejiang. Our college will take the responsibility of "open cooperation, seek win-win results", promote all work in high quality, and contribute security forces to the construction of the the "Belt and Road" initiative!
